Part 3 - Simply Sydney
Ok... part three is mostly about my two days roaming in the centre of Sydney aka shopping area. Just not to get myself lost, I started my journey along George St. It was an easy route for me to follow. Besides that, I had map with me. Hehehehehe.... I am always scared to get lost because I don't want to make unnecessary phone call just to get the right direction. It will be blardy frustrated to get direction from somebody who are busy with something.
I love to do shopping by myself. The freedom of choosing a pair of T-shirts for hours without somebody saying, " Are you done?". It is not neccessarily you have to buy something... but being able to look and wondering around on things that you can't afford definitely therapheutic thing to do. Hey, I am from Mukah and Mukah don't have shopping malls OK? We have Ngiu Kee ONLY... Others, you guys might not recognise the names. Maybe 4D Magnum and CASH Sweep laaaa...
At David Jones, they even provide granpa playing piano for us shoppers!!! The deparment is mainly bags, shoes, perfumes etc for ladies. I spent two hours drooling over bags over there. They have Juicy Couture, DKNY, Oroton, Gucci, Escada, CK, BURBERRY, Coach etc. Sadly, I didn't get anything from there. I was tempted to get Oroton wallet for AUD114 (after 30% discount)... but I did not! Oh well.... the good thing, I really enjoyed the musics....
I basically had two sushi rolls everytime I feel hungry. I love salmon and avocado. MMmm... If I feel hungry some more, I just dropped by at Hungry Jacks. Ahhhhh... Hungry Jacks is tastier than McDonald because their beef grilled.
Oh ya... that's one of the pubs along George St. I don't know what's it called. But interesting to see three famous monkeys at pub!!!
Hmm... that's all I have on Sydney. In sum, Sydney is a good place to go for holiday. I think, two days is enough to explore Sydney. But, I prefer Melbourne because I am more familiar with Melbourne. Besides, Cola's papa is in Melbourne. Hehehehehe...
Part 2 - Sydney Darling Harbour
Sydney Darling Harbour.... What a nice name.. you know.... as in Darling.... My auntie, being the youngest among 13 is called darling by all families. Sometimes, distant relatives doesn't know her real name and only known her as darling...
Well, I am not going to blog about her.... I am going to tell a little bit about my experience at Darling Harbour. The place is beautiful.... Well, beautiful as in the scenery and ambience. It is crowded but not overwhelming. I guess because I was there during weekdays. Talking about weather, it was just nice... around 26'C. HmmmmmMMmmm.....
They have Wildlife Centre, Sydney Aquarium, Outback Centre and lovely park where people can go or chill out. It is a one place to go where anyone can explore a lot at one venue. I went to Sydney Aquarium only.... because I love fish. But, hmmmm I prefer KLCC Aquaria because KL have this biggggggggggggggggggggggggggg fish from amazon. I want to go there again... But, Sydney have seals.... KL don't have. Hehehehehehe... Oh.. it cost me AUD28 to see fish at Sydney Aquarium.
I had the chance to go to this restaurant. Damn, I forgot what it was called. Me and my friend had this special menu, which was steak. Both of us had steak. Yumm.... He had medium raw... I had medium. Personally, medium raw tastes better! Per person cost AUD19.90. But it was worth it bcause of the ambience and the scenic view that we had from our table.

Being Catholic....
I had the opporturnity to attend daily mass at St. Julian Church at George Street in Sydney. The church will be undergoing renovation and it will be done before Christmas... You can see on the altar is the Blessed Sacrament for adoration. Catholics believes that it is Jesus Himself is there.
I remember when I was in Melbourne studying, I always find myself a time to go to this church. It is easy to go here because it is in the middle of the city. Even better, the church is enclosed between Melbourne Central and Myer. After praying, you can just simply go for shopping. Praying and shopping are theraphy...
This is the nearest church to my friend's place. It took me 20 minutes of walking from his house, but 5 minutes of driving. This year, I celebrated Palm Sunday and Good Friday in Melbourne in this church. But I didn't attend Easter Mass on Sunday because of my flight schedule to Malaysia. Hmm... oh well... It is not intentional...
In Melbourne, I noticed that Catholics do not take off their shoes when they venerate the cross. It is different in Mukah where Catholics take off their shoes and kiss the cross. I did take off my shoes and it seems I was the only one doing it. For those who does not know, we always celebrate Good Friday mass at 3pm because Jesus died at that time.
The thing that I miss in Melbourne is... to be able to go to church where you can venerate Holy Sacrament. It does not matter whether for five minutes or 2 long hours (if you have the time). In St. Francis, the veneration of sacrament is done everyday, except during mass.
Here in Malaysia, seldom Blessed Sacrament put out for adoration. The nearest you can venerate Him is the tabernacle. Oh well... *sigh**
Part 1 - Sydney Opera House
I love this view.... the water sparkles in the morning sun. By the way.. I took all the pictures using my mobile phone. I am rather happy with the result because the quality is not bad... considering it is only 2.0 Megapixels.
We were three days in Sydney... and the first two days, I was busy shopping in Sydney. I will blog about it later in another entry. Only the last day I went to Darling Harbour and Sydney Opera House. Oh ya.... I also went to Sydney Aquarium.... but I didn't take any good pictures since it was always dark inside. Mmmm.. I prefer Aquria KLCC la....
Oh ya.. that's me and my book. I love Eddings. I took all Belgariad and Mollereans Saga back home to Mukah... but sadly have to leave the rest behind otherwise my luggage will be over 20kg! Hahahaha.. me, Eddings and Sydney Opera House.
I took 1 hour Sydney Opera House tour which usually AUD32. But, I was lucky to have it for AUD25 since the lady at the counter kind enough to use one of the extra discount voucher she had. Ohh...... lucky me!
I have to wait one hour because the 10.30am and 11.00am were sold out. With nothing else to do (which I already done my shopping around the area earlier) I just sat and read my Eddings. Hahahaha... can you spot my shoe?
Before we went into the opera house, the tour guide told us that taking pictures inside the Sydney Opera House are prohibited. Basically it is because of copyright issues. But, some of us did not care (including me). But when he brought us inside the theatre, we did not take any pictures because we know it was strictly probihited. I guess for scenic view outside the theatre are still OK. Here... we were at this part of the opera house called cleavage.
This is also cleavage. Very deep right?
We had two videos presentation and one of them was this one. It was kinda cool because the image projected staright to the wall.
This private room is dedicated to the architect who is responsible with Sydney Opera House. Actually, no photos allowed but.... I couldn't resist! One hour visit... so worth it. That's the end of my one hour visit to the opera house.
This picture was taken from the outside of the opera house. You can see a group of people inside. That group was taken for tour inside the opera house... like the one I took earlier.
If you wondering what are the stairs going up to opera house look like.... this is how it is look like. Simple huh?
