My Caramel Cake..




This cake look fantastic!! It is courtesy from Masam Manis . After reading her post... I decided to give a try. Please be reminded, after seven attempts, she finally made it.... Want to see mine??

HA HA HA..... Please do not be disgusted.... It tastes great!!! I am actually happy with the pattern!!! The caramel .. damn it was good!! The cake was moist... and damn soft!!




It is me to be blamed.... My mistakes were:


i. I did not put at the very bottom of the oven.

ii. I was impatience that I forced the cake to cool down (put in the iced-water) and... the caramel breaks when took the cake out.


I believe... this cake needs... PATIENCE... (sadly which I am lacking) and commitment!!


I will definitely bake this cake again. The step by step instructions from her ( Masam Manis) are very helpful!



To the author, Puan Azlita, thank you for the instructions. Jangan la gelak tengok kek saya ni yea. I will try more of your recipes and publish any attempts, whether it is a success or a failure. For this attempt, taste... PASSED.... Presentation... FAILED!!

hai..saya pun ada buat juga kek karamel tu..sy tgok kek awak cantik+gebu jer..tyme bakar tu ada x oven awk berwap?oven sy berwap n air utk lapis loyang tu menggelegak...jadi kek sy rasa cam lembab ckit..sudah 2 org sy tanya, mereka katakan yg tyme bakar tu xde pulak meruap..sy buntu fikir kenapa jadi mcm tu..if depends on theory it's normal lah tu kan if boiling water n will produce steam..jeles tau tgok kek awk yg gebu tu..kalau sy dapat buat segebu itu..owh!heaven!!

Yep, saya bernasib baik kek saya gebu dan lembut. Cuma tak nampak cantek jer...

Masa time saya bakar, memang ber wap.. air pun menggelegak...

And... Saya telah guna api 150C instead of 160C. Yea la.. sbb nabes takut kek tu kering.

Takpe, kite boleh try lagi... Kek saya buat Hari Ahad... dah abis dah semalam... Laku tu....

owh..kiranya oven sy xbermasalah la ek..cuma kek sy jer yg cam xsegebu kek awak n kak azlita..hihi..

ha'a..sama lah kiter kek laku mcm goreng pisang panas..hihihik..ni sy bru start nk berblog semula setelah lama sunyi drp dunia blog nih..hihi..

Akak ni pun ader step by step buat kek karamel. Dia ada suggest letak pandan paste. Kalau saya nak buat next kek karemal, saya nak taruk pandan paste la... Mesti best...

waaah..mcm menarik juga yer recipe tu..mesti+wajib cuba nih..hihi..mybe weekend ni busy ckit..sbb kami sekeluarga akan pindah..jadi esok kerja2 d dapur terpaksa d stop utk seketika..hihi..if sy cuba sy pasti akan post..hihi..
